这是近日发表在华盛顿邮报上的一首诗歌。很真切地表现了从古到今，西方人，西方社会，西方政府是从一个什么样的角度对待中国，中国政府，中国人民。

当我们是东亚病夫的时候，我们的劳工被称为黄色威胁。

When we tried Communism, you hated us for being Communist.

When we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet.% S# J' F; Y8 y6 W
When we tried limiting our numbers, you said we abused human rights.
! l) g- l& C, f+ D! Y& j% XWhen we were poor, you thought we were dogs.) V' `$ e+ @% z4 b. Q# F/ ?. y
When we loan you cash, you blame us for your national debts.
3 o. o8 F; P7 w$ i1 w0 M0 Z6 U0 eWhen we build our industries, you call us Polluters.
4 B# [- U4 @+ d- e2 LWhen we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming. : G/ `. b0 k& p: J
When we buy oil, you call it exploitation and genocide.
5 ^/ K/ t( r6 J4 uWhen you go to war for oil, you call it liberation.
% V. @( O2 H" B: k8 B3 FWhen we were lost in chaos and rampage, you demanded rules of law.
* ]" l: H- p9 w" [+ s# _8 {When we uphold law and order against violence, you call it violating human rights. + E- x9 N  I1 C5 A* g% E9 ?
When we were silent, you said you wanted us to have free speech.
* {) ]" a/ M8 [0 P* yWhen we are silent no more, you say we are brainwashed-xenophobics. / ?" v* K$ p5 ^1 [% Y; k4 B
Why do you hate us so much, we asked.
/ X! p; c+ I$ I3 ^8 T: mNo, you answered, we don't hate you. , M& V' [& y* n6 z& p7 ^+ m
We don't hate you either,5 W% F. w; [5 w3 |7 D
But, do you understand us? & h- u3 G" L7 q
Of course we do, you said,
/ z5 Q7 r! N# e! o  e9 V) d3 TWe have AFP, CNN and BBC's... 3 K! X( n8 D% J3 N; X
What do you really want from us?$ w* G/ n8 b2 k6 g+ Z
Think hard first, then answer...
( B: X1 ?* J# B4 L/ b. L6 nBecause you only get so many chances.
* S, L5 e# a( B! p. C* fEnough is Enough, Enough Hypocrisy for This One World. 1 E- t) y$ `. b1 {
We want One World, One Dream, and Peace on Earth.) ~+ ]' h7 e; g) ^# y/ x7 H
This Big Blue Earth is Big Enough for all of Us.
